At Caley, we take the security of our customer’s data very seriously. As our Technology Partner, your operating system, networks, and web services must be configured to operate securely, with data stored within your system using strong encryption.

 

 

• Compromising security in any way.
• Providing access to the Caley API in any fraudulent or unauthorized way, including bypassing or circumventing Caley protocols and access controls.
• Transmitting any viruses or other code that may damage any system or data.
• Reverse engineering, disassembling, decompiling, decoding, adapting, or otherwise attempting to derive or gain access to any software component of the API, in whole or in part.
• Removing any proprietary notices from the API.
• Using the API in any manner or for any purpose that infringes, misappropriates, or otherwise violates any intellectual property right or other right of any person, or that violates any applicable law.
• Combining or integrating the API with any software, technology, services, or materials not authorized by Caley.
• Designing or permitting your applications to disable, override, or otherwise interfere with any Caley-implemented communications to end users, consent screens, user settings, alerts, warnings, or the like.
• Using the API in any of your applications to replicate or attempt to replace the user experience of the Caley Offering.
• Attempting to cloak or conceal your identity or the identity of your applications when requesting authorization to use the API.

 

Additionally, you will not use the API in connection with or to promote any products, services, or materials that:

 

• Constitute, promote, or are used primarily for the purpose of dealing in spyware, adware, or other malicious programs or code.
• Counterfeit goods, items subject to U.S. embargo, unsolicited mass distribution of email (“spam”), multi-level marketing proposals, hate materials, hacking, surveillance, interception, or descrambling equipment.
• Libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, or otherwise offensive content.
• Stolen products, and items used for theft, hazardous materials, or any illegal activities.

 

The use of customer data must be transparent, disclosing the collection, use, and sharing of the data. You must limit your use of the data to the practices you disclose. All developers must have an industry-standard privacy policy in place that accurately describes the specifics of data usage and meets applicable legal and consent requirements.

 

 

• Sharing user data with external parties unless otherwise agreed by the user and for the following reasons:
• To comply with and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• As part of a merger or acquisition.
• If necessary to improve the user experience and business needs.
• Subcontracting any processing of the data to a third-party sub-processor without prior written consent.

 

 

Every application must meet business needs, respect user privacy, and provide a good user experience. Applications should adhere to Caley’s brand guidelines.

 

•  Degrading or compromising the performance of the services.
• Creating poor user experiences that do not add value to users.
• Displaying inappropriate communications through your application.
• Neglecting appropriate customer assistance. Applications must be complemented with instructions on how to connect Caley and customer support information.

 

 

If data is breached, exposed, exploited, or otherwise compromised through your application or company, you must inform all affected users and Caley immediately at help@caley.app.
